Schedule & Venue Info
When is Atomic Con?
The conference starts Friday evening, February 23rd. We'll kick things off with a special, co-located edition of the Q4 Quarterly Meeting. The conference program runs from Friday evening through late Saturday evening. All Atoms are invited to stay Saturday night. This is optional, but we promise it'll be a blast! We'll provide meals, drinks, rooms, learning, and fun from Friday evening through Sunday morning.
Who should attend?
All Atoms are invited! Since this is a technical conference, the event will be for employees only.
Where is Atomic Con?
The conference will be held at Bay Pointe located on beautiful Gun Lake, Michigan.
Do I need to book a room?
We take care of that! You should have received lodging assignments from Brittany. If you have any questions, reach out.
Where do I enter the hotel?
Enter the hotel through the main entrance. We’ll have a registration table set up in the main lobby.
What's planned Friday night?
After everyone checks in, dinner will be served. CEOs and MPs will then run through our Q4 meeting. There will be brief breakout sessions for each office. After that, we have fun social sessions being run by Atoms. Head over to the schedule page to learn more.
What's planned on Saturday?
We'll have sessions throughout the day. There will be a mix of presentations, workshops, and panels. There will be social activities in the evening, followed by dinner, our CEO Fireside Chat, and more opportunities for relaxing and socializing.
What about Saturday night?
We encourage everyone to stay Saturday night if they can. We’ll have Atomic Karaoke and the bonfire going.
How do I get there?
Each office will do their own planning around carpooling/flights. Try to share a ride whenever possible. It’s better for the environment and will be a more enjoyable time!
Does the hotel have a gym or a pool?
Yes! There's a pool, a hot tub, and a fitness room.
How's the WiFi?
Please don't rely on connectivity for your sessions, but the wifi was reasonable last time around.
Punching & Mileage
Do I punch time at the conference on Friday?
Since we will be doing our Q4 meeting at Atomic Con on Friday evening, that time can be punched to “Manager-Coordinated Work > Company Meeting.” Just like our usual company meetings/parties, the time for the meeting itself can be punched, but not socializing time before/after.
Do I punch time at the conference on Saturday?
Yes! We're asking that everyone try to punch their normal billable work prior to leaving for the conference, and punch 8 hours to "Self-Directed Initiatives > Atomic Con 2024 - Attendance" for their time on Saturday.
Can I punch travel time?
On Friday, punch time spent traveling to the conference to "Manager-Coordinated Initiatives > Atomic Con 2024 - Friday Travel". Please try to take advantage of the travel time. In some cases, Atoms will be able to work during the travel (punching that time accordingly). Others, please take advantage of the time to travel with your colleagues and spend time connecting. Return travel will not be punchable.
Can I punch time spent creating my talk or prepping my activity?
Yes, punch that time too! Punch it to “Self-Directed Initiatives > Atomic Con 2024 - Talk Preparation”
Can I expense mileage?
Yes. More information about mileage expensing can be found in the Atomic Manual.

Who decides on the conference schedule?
Sarah, Brittany, Jonah, Dylan, Drew, and Joe make up the planning committee. All of you are also welcome to help shape the content of the conference by sharing your ideas with any of these folks.
